Agreed, there's no chance of everyone completing all their games so we have to have some kind of averaging out. What it means in practical terms is that Catalans have moved within the top 4 and everything else is pretty much the same.

If you want to win any competition it's pretty standard that you have to win most of your games...
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Seems like the most logical and sensible way to keep the season alive, and ultimately the entire sport.

Does give a team playing the likes of Saints or Wigan the option now to pull the game (OK if Covid) and gain percentage points though

Get to the 15 game played tally with a top 4 percentage then pull out of the rest of the games!
