If we are to bring in a winger for 2022, I wonder if an option will be Lee Kershaw from Wakefield. I know Agar is a big fan of his and maybe fits the mould as a replacement for L Briscoe if he is to not agree a new deal at Leeds.

Kershaw signed a new deal at Wakefield I believe. Leeds looking at NRL for a big back.

So do you think definitely a back (surely a winger), and they are not in the market for NRL prop? Or do you think it's a case of still evaluating options? Will be fascinating to find out what the decision on Luke Briscoe is. Surely if he was stay we wouldn't be looking to recruit a 4th winger.

Ideally we need both winger and prop, most people seem to agree.

We have potentially a fair bit of salary being released next year: T Briscoe, Dwyer, Gale, Mellor, Thompson... I could see a scenario where if a good winger/FB is available now and not a prop, we sort that position out for the next 2-3 years, and then move for a prop with the released salary next year. We'll have the OS quota spot freed up from Thompson's inevitable departure too.

Yep, would be really exciting to have a top class winger again, but I do worry that with King gone, we look thin up front again. Who would be a coach/director of football?

To be honest I still expect us to get a prop - the NRL is bonkers at the minute with players being cut all over the place. It's an elite competition but my word they are reactive over there.

However at this stage in our re-imagining, there is zero point in signing anyone who isn't going to add some unique value to the team. And as we're a pretty good team for next year, that bar has been raised quite a bit I think.

Our first choice props are pretty good, we're just thin on injuries. Having said that, we do have Muizz back, and possibly one or two academy lads could step in. Don't get me wrong, it's not ideal but Mik, Holroyd, Prior and Tet is a very good first choice set.

I see Hull are having one of their periodic purges and are currently touting some contracted players around other clubs. Wonder if the likes of Scott Taylor or Josh Bowden might be on offer?
