I don't think you can really talk about offiah and makinson in the same breath. The game for wingers was very different when offiah was playing. Makinson is much more the complete player but offiah didn't need to be.

They are certainly very different wingers. I think it’s fair to say Makinson wouldn’t have scored a lot of the try’s Offiah scored, but at the same time Offiah wouldn’t score a lot of the try’s Makinson does. His finishing in the corner is certainly the best in the World in either code, he should really be marketed as Magic Makinson.

Sts work to get him the ball in those situations. Its not just about stopping the winger.
