The best case scenario for Leeds is if Hull name a near to full strength side. Leeds then go back to their physical 'siege mentality' style of play that we saw against Catalans and Cas. In this scenario it will be impossible for the Hull players and coaching staff not to start thinking about the Cup in the backs of their minds, and this should be enough for them to lose focus.
The alternative, of Hull naming a weak side, will be a disaster for Leeds. We have shown that we cannot cope with the favourites tag, and do not respect teams we are expected to beat (see last week). Meanwhile the Hull fringe players and youngsters will bust a gut to come into contention for the big Cup game.
IMO our inability to be ruthless against weaker teams has become one of the hallmarks of the team in recent years - all the more frustrating when they regularly put in good performances against the bigger named teams. This is something that I would like to think Kevin Sinfield is addressing as DoR.
