Leaning towards Trout on the bench. If we go Newman and want to rotate a back rower, it will probably mean moving Hurrell infield and whilst he would "do a job", we need his strike out wide. Especially if we can make the most of Tui linking in and using his passing game to get Hurrell early ball.

The other option to get Newman in is moving Tui to 6 and Sutcliffe to backrow with Handley/Watkins/Briscoe to FB. Too much disruption for me. Particularly given Tui's showings at 6...

Interesting few weeks coming up for Newman, injuries aside is he going to dislodge Hurrell/Watkins? Maybe get a chance on Monday if they don't want Watkins playing a second game in 4 days.

At least Gaskell is missing, that is a big plus for us. Cannot see either JJB or Donaldson starting this game (hope not). Merrin is he definitely missing this Friday, The omens don't look good for Friday. Looks like were stuck in the sh** creek without a paddle. LOL

Trout has to start for mine. Possibly, even move Sutcliffe to 13 and have McLelland at half back.

A disastrous weekend awaits , it is a shame when all we can do is hope London lose , even Wakey injuries will not be enough for us and Midgets are way in front of us on performance at the moment .

Give Newman a chance after his performance in challenge cup and rest Watkins as it's a tough Easter period and doubt his body will be able to cope with it.
