Reported on Twitter, Furner, when asked after todays game about Merrin said, “I spoke to him yesterday. Not sure when hes gonna be back. Hopefully for the HKR game next weekend.

Furner was just simply non committal. Nothing wrong with that. He doesn’t know what condition Merrin will arrive back in, so why put pressure on to state he will play.

Still a strange response given all the rumours, aussie press reports etc. Surely he couldve have been non committal in a “Hes on his way back and will hopefully be ready for HKR” kind of way? Especially after Hetheringtons come out in the press saying he’ll be back Saturday. Its just village, in my opinion.
