I do find it strange that we had 40 million to buy a striker that was always going to Milan then the guy from PSG at a cost of 30 million who went elsewhere.
We`ve spent the money we got for KP and Raphina so far and kept the money from Sky and what we earned from our finishing position last year.
By my reckoning we have in the region of 70/80 million still to spend and at least 40 million.
Don`t tell me we now need to sell James and Harrison to bring in another striker?
Phil Hay was saying that its sounding like we were willing to stretch for CDK to the tune of £35m (I saw him play for Milan at the weekend, what a player !), but not willing to spend that much for anyone else.... I find that baffling.
Clearly the wage bill has increased, they've sold KP and Raph plus let go one or two squad players, but they've brought in 6 first team players. BUT, the net transfer spend is pretty much zero.. it doesn't quite add up does it?
For me it points to the owner having very little financial clout. This is after they spent only circa £40m (Firpo and James) last summer and nothing in January.... i like Radrizanni, i think he's done well overall (but got out of jail last season) but big questions have to be asked longer term of his ability to establish Leeds as a steady premier league team with ambition to move forwards..
