In many fans eyes he's not been good enough since day one. I'm not sure it is possible to do more for the club than Brian McDermott has done, but said people can't see beyond the end of their nose.

The players need to shoulder responsibility for the plight of this season, not the manager. Onwards and upwards.

Ive defended him many times on here and I think its a real shame he has gone like this, i think thats whats making me think tgeres more to it thsn just the recent run of form

Agreed. They should have given him the same chance for a goodbye that Wigan are giving Wane. The timing suggests to me that there is a bit more to this than we're privy to via the media etc.

That would be fine, but wigan second in table and not in freefall into middke 8’s he had to go sooner rather than later, we desperately need to turn the season around and salvage something going forward.

I also think many players were no longer responding to his methods. An internal fix of the group you suggest to raise spirits and morale sounds most likely. However it is not a usual GH move to do this with no plan of a successor, so someone may already be tapped up.

If not and we are looking for an experienced fixer to get players at it to end of season, the only name I can come up with is John Kear with burrow as assistant. I am not saying this would be my ideal solution long term
I am surprised at the timing however it has been coming for a while

Would burrow be a good shout for the rest of the season?

Did everyone read that in a Hull accent like I did? Hilarious...
