I would rather it be permanent but if a loan deal so be it.

When's Briscoe due back?

I can only assume he's not due back for the start of next year with us being linked with Davies. Makes sense to bring a loan winger in whilst Briscoe recovers. But if Briscoe is fit for the start of 2020 seems pointless loaning Davies.

Briscoe will miss at least the first 2 months of the season and will then need to work on his fitness before being ready to play.

It’s also the last year of his contract I think?

I think it makes perfect squad sense,it will mean Briscoe doesn't have to be rushed back plus it will mean all two who get a starting spot will have to play well as one will be waiting in the wings(pardon the pun) to take their place.

Other teams are making huge statements by all the big signings, what have we done so far? If the Giants sign Sezer as well, that’s a massive statement by the business they have done.

We've signed Gale don't forget and other teams aren't stuck in limbo with their marquee player not deciding whether he's coming back or not

With the signings going around, I think SL will be fantastic next year! Some exciting players coming across from the NRL as well as our own emerging talent. Hopefully the whole comp will be raised in standard from the last few years.

I hope so.

It does seem that a few are expecting to just turn up, smash the comp in first gear, collect a wodge and be hailed as a returning hero when an NRL deal materialises. Its a big, big move and I don't think a lot of the players coming over are ready for it, the pressure, expectation etc are sky high.

That doesn't go for all, when they buy in to the clubs a la Hurrell, Fifita and especially Jackson Hastings you can see what they bring to the comp and its brilliant to see. Its rare we get to see NRL players in their pomp over here Joel Monaghan, Jackson Hastings show you the richness of talent the NRL can produce, hopefully we can get the same bang for the buck with this latest influx.
