Weve currently got Mellor in the centre. If Newman was fit he would get a game i would think wouldnt you? All this rubbish started by Batley that Tetevano is the only starter out is absolutely crazy. I cant remember a single game where Lui was fit and didnt start, how the hell can he not be classed as a starter?

We have several starters out, several who would be on the bench and back ups to absentee starters out too.

peter smith scored hurrell 4 out of 10 ten simple , otherwise wouuld have expected l sutcliffe and hurrell to be starting centres

Not a Lui fan as I think he is a player that doesn't fulfil his
potential due to poor fitness. He doesn't offer a threat taking on the line.
What is clear from the last 2 years however is that we create many more chances with Lui and Myler/Walker on the pitch especially on the left with Handley being the main beneficiary. Lui has a good pass and links well but is not the half we need to take us to the next level. At the moment though he would significantly improve the team.
Hurrell as a second row is a non starter he would be a liability defensively and has the habit of dropping the ball. The Lautiti comparison is ludicrous as Ali was safer in possession holding it with one hand! Konnie needs to get fit and start performing in the centre. If he does that he will get a reduced contract offer as he has a bit of an x factor and offers something different but not on marquee money which must go on a stand off

I just can’t see us going all-in for a new 6 having just signed Eastmond for 3 years. Unless Kyle is catastrophic this year expect him to be partnering Gale for some time.

We will sign again in the pack for 2022 because I think there will be one or two movements there.

Again I don’t know whether we’ll sign another outside back. T Briscoe is Mr Teflon rightly or wrongly, been in poor form most of the year so far - hopefully he will push through it. L Tindall is another option and we have Myler and Walker at FB next year.

The club might decide to play Broadbent on the wing for a season or two.

Our off-field work this year as a club is vital if we are going to break that ceiling into the best squads in the comp again. It would just be nice to see something like our first choice 13 on the park for a few games in succession.

If Eastmond doesnt improve then will have to look for a six.Eastmond i believe is contracted for two years not three.

Lui Martin Hurrell and King out of contract end of the year. Thats 4 quota spots including one marquee. Also question mark against Proir taking up his tear 3 option. I cannot accept that the club have decided Gale/Eastwood only options in the halves for next year. They will be 33 and 32 respectively next year so we need another option or face having to sign 2 down the line as there's nothing coming through in that position.
