If Danny's dad is anything like him he won't be using that argument...

It's the general consensus on your board that Wakey are badly done to and Leeds have the RFL in their pocket. Anyone disagrees they're told to F off or banned.

For one I don't do that and number 2 I was talking about the game last night, totaly different.

Leeds won fair and square in what was a decent game. But I do agree at time some fans do try and blame referee to often, but many fans do.

I like you, you're among the few sensible Wakefield fans. The Wakey fan I met on holiday was a good lad too.

Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

How many of your Academy players did you field?

I think it was Current Academy players he was refering to rather than players he had progressed via an Academy set up.

At least Kear has looked to the lower leagues to bring players in rather than just take the asy option of Kolpak or second-rate Aussies ( Drew & Demetriouu excepted).
It's not his fault that the Wildats had no academy to speak of until he arrived on the scene. Bringing players through from the academy is a longterm stategey one that the franchise system is supposed to encourage now that the fear of relegation is removed.

It was a joke. But for the players we had out it's a big increase on what we have ever had before Kear came.

Do you really think that's a fair comparison? Wakefield losing 8 from their starting 17 is going to have a greater impact on their capability than if Leeds lost the same from their side.

Might be a bit harsh on the bloke because he's hardly stayed at a club long enough to nurture some home grown talent, but has Kear ever presided over a club where home-grown talent is the norm, or like Noble does he prefer to buy his ready made team in using someone else's money and hard work ?

I would suggest that Hull were heading in exactly the right direction during Kear's time there.

This is a futile argument. It is obvious that we do not have the financial clout that Leeds do, and therefore we have not had the luxury of being to invest as heavily in youth development - and the cost of signing players has risen substantially recently.

The rest of the game can only applaud the work that Leeds have undertaken in this respect and you have set the benchmark for it.

However (and there is one), some of your supporters fail to appreciate the strength in depth that Leeds have over a club like Wakey. The equivalent players from your squad, to those missing from our side last night would have included McGuire, Burrows, Diskin, Buderus, Senior, Donald, Leuluai, & Lautiti. That it no way means that our players are as good as those, just that they are as important to us as they are to you.

We are doing it tough and hanging in there. You are happy with a win and we are happy with the performance (in the circumstances). I'd like to think we could leave it there, but I know there are some that just won't let it lie!
