Agree with this, quality forwards should be the priority now, but if the overseas/non fed quota is full then the only option to improve on the English forwards is to ship out Thompson/Crosby/Mullally etc and pay some serious transfer fees for the quality.

Cas have shown over several seasons that you don't have to be the WBW to score a hat full of tries outside a good centre.

The challenge for leeds isreplacing the work hall did in yardage either with a similar winger or really investing in the pack.

Agreed. I'm not sure how Furner likes to structure his team, but you don't always have to replace like for like. If for example we were to invest in a really top level prop or two, and get more out of the pack, we could go for a different kind of winger to Hall.

I'm a bit more old fashioned in how I like to see the game played. I'd like to see two big hard nosed props, a second row of hard working defenders who carry threat with the ball, and a loose forward who is a ball player.

Let's see what Furner wants to do.

Bang on. Style of play also plays a part but a good centre can make most average wingers look good.

Would love that. One each of a Barrie Mac and JP types in the front row, another Ali in the back row with a circa 2003 version of Sinfield locking the scrum. Anyone out there fitting those descriptions....

I'd say we already have a couple of those jigsaw pieces in Garbutt, Parcell and Ward (at 13). What we need is a strong pair of back rowers, and a king prop.
