Marquee is just a way of lowering the cap value. He resigned at the back end of last year and it will have been an upgrade, his form this year may not warrant it but it is what it is.

Personally I think he's playing injured BA has alluded to it a few times.

Don't have the details, but what's the value of Newman playing 'busted' if it means the likes of Kershaw are routinely out-pacing him? Why not play Martin at centre, are we so down to the bare bones in the forwards? Presumably Arthur thinks so.

You'd have to ask BA! There will be loads of players busted at this time of year, if they can get on the field they will.

Mik is back this week but I bet he isn't 100%

Kershaw is quick you know! but I get your point on Newman.

Wouldn't risk Mik this week, give him another week to recover. With enough of a rocket up their butts we should be good enough to get over the top of Hull FC without him.

Marquee is just a mechanic to reduce cap impact of the top 2 wages.

A third marquee player for a team, was allowed, at the start of this season. (2023)
