If we do stay up which would make sense if Gateshead go down I think you will see a much better team than you did this year,and deep down you know that we would be a threat.

You probably will have better team next season(a case of gross miss-managment if ever i saw one) but who will you be a threat to? Realistically Barrow, Fax, and Fev will be streets ahead next season.

Re the fans, over last 5 years I bet very few teams have brought more fans to the Shay than Leigh have, pity Yorkshire fans don't reciprocate.

Anyway whatever happens we will still have as much chance as Fax of getting a Franchise,which for both teams is very little chance,no matter how many "boxes" you tick.

I think you will find the exact percentage of a chance Fax, Barrow, Fev and Leigh have is 0, zilch, zero, nadda. But lets keep people hopes up for a season or so longer.

That's what I assume the 'rule' to be, too - unless 'liquidation' differs from 'administration'? However, there are noises coming out of Gateshead, about running with mainly local junior players next season - and that won't be any good for them, or the Championship. It looks like there are two options, if Gateshead drop down:-

1) Re-admit Leigh, to the Championship, or

2) Re-structure the Championship, with ten teams - most clubs have been making noises about having an odd number of teams in there, but I don't think they had in mind REDUCING the size of the League!

I don't have a lot of sympathy for Gateshead, the Club, but I do feel for their loyal fans - and we've all been there, eh?!

Leigh were easily the worst side to play Raiders last season.

I agree with most of your comments,but I honestly don't think any team in the Championship will be streets ahead of anyone else.

Leigh will not make the same mistakes of last year,which was to invest very little and concentrate on the next two seasons,being relegated was not on the agenda, big mistake all leigh fans accept.

Until a decision is made by the idiots in charge of our game,all is conjecture but if we do stay up,expect a very differant team from the one that nearly beat you this year
