A heartwarming postscript to the World Club Challenge came to light yesterday when it was learned that Melbourne Storm star Ryan Hoffman gave his gold winners medal to a young Rhinos supporter in recognition of his sportsmanship.
Taylor Mail, a youngster who plays for Shaw Cross Sharks, had stayed behind after the game to meet the Australian stars who had just beaten his heroes by 18-14 in a classic World Club Championship match at Headingley.
