It's not ok for NK to be firing missiles across Japan's airspace though. I'm sure KJU knows that any serious action by his country and they'd be wiped out, doesn't stop him nuking or bombing SK or Japan first though....

He won't be nuking anyone. He's playing Billy Big rubbish.

Does Fat Kim have any designs on running a rugby league club? We are not bad at producing good Jong Uns, and maybe if one was also the boss, that could work?

Now this loon has tested what is rumoured to be a hydrogen bomb underground , successfully by the reports.

All this dictator needs to do now is attach it to the ballistic missiles he has been testing and hey Presto, a new kid in the playground wanting to show off his new toy

He's just trying to show he's got them. He'll not use them in a first strike on anyone.

NK has been in breach of the NPT for decades, and nothing of any substance has been done - now I guess the world has changed, and they will have to be included as part of the shaky MAD doctrine that stops these people from vaporising the whole world.

Although I would imagine that Churchill was referring to situations just like this one, when said that the concept of MAD "does not cover the case of lunatics or dictators in the mood of Hitler when he found himself in his final dugout."

Indeed Bren. Pushing NK too far now may do more harm than good. The genie is out of the bottle. They've got the nukes and there's nothing the rest can do about it now.

NK Will be fine from America's wrath as long as someone in Kim Jong Un' s circle doesn't say jokingly

Doesn't even need to do that. Attaching it to a ballistic missile is no mean feat - these bombs weigh a helluva lot and his missiles are a long way from being able to carry one effectively.

No, he can simply drop one on Seoul, less than 20 miles from the border. Follow that up with the hundreds (thousands?) of artillery pieces he already has trained on the city and there wouldn't be much left standing. Of course there wouldn't be much left of NK within a few days but this would be a truly devastating course of events.

NK is a serious problem with no easy solution. China are already p*ssed off with them yet they continue. The USA, while far from perfect, has tried talking for decades to no avail. Any military solution would be a disaster for everyone but NK simply will not change course - and from their perspective why would they?

So, how far down the road of true intercontinental nuclear capability does the rest of the world allow them to progress? This country that has, for decades, repeatedly issued threats to SK and the USA, amongst others?
