That article highlights one thing for me....
looks like 2016's recruitment will be a none event like this years.

What it highlights is that the interview was done with Kylie, not the club. This time last year Kirke and Bailey will have been thinking they would be seeing out their contracts, but never did, never mind someone out of contract.

The club made a massive error last year in giving a player a new contract based on his first quarter of the season, rather than his whole season. Had it been based on his whole season he wouldn't have got one. Therefore I have no worries that the club will not in a million years offer Kylie another deal.

All player interviews are done without the club having to approve them. The club give the YEP virtually unrestricted access to the players, and that's from Peter Smith.

Unrestricted as long as the party line / this weeks propaganda is adhered to.

Ive seen edgier balls of cotton wool than the predominantly whitewashed accounts of the YEP.

Its all the same fluff pieces and identikit responses that if you swap the date, opposition and player name it could be the same story re-heshed several times.

Id like to see an interviewer actually ask the uncomfortable questions, instead of just the usual bollax just to keep the status quo.
