I'm intrigued with Zak Hardaker's contract situation at the Rhinos,Here we have a top player and one that would walk into almost any SL or NRL side IMO, but he is now down to his final 2 years at the Rhinos, I'm very surprised that he hasn't been tied down to an upgraded 5 year deal as is the norm for their top young stars like Watkins & Hall, So why not for Zak?

Maybe negotiations are currently underway between both parties and that he is willing to sign a long term contract there, but something just doesn't seem right with his situation there to me?

I would love to see this kid at our club............ What about you?

Wigan were trailing him when he was at Featherstone but he opted for Leeds. I believe that there is still a strong interest from Wigan. Leeds have a good young fullback coming through the ranks (Ash Handley)so it'll be very interesting to see what transpires over the next couple of years.

He'd be great at Wigan but I still believe Sam will be back in 12 months.

I know for a fact that whilst he's enjoyed NZ he's not truly settled. The next 12 months is key in regards to if he comes back. He's given it another season and if he settles we won't see him again, if he doesn't settle then he's back.

This time next season Bowen will be gone and I hope we are keeping tabs on Zak should Sam not want to return. WortWorth nothing both will cost a chunk of money.

I'm guessing that they are holding back until he stops behaving like and idiot, both on and off the pitch.

Fine player but not sure he fits in as a fullback in Wigan's set up. I don't think his passing game is strong enough to play that role.

Once Bowen goes the ideal is we get Tomkins back and if we don't I think Hampshire will be given the chance to step up.

Could see him going to the NRL when his Leeds contract is up, but couldn't see him joining another SL team unless something radical happens to the salary cap, and even then Leeds could match whatever Wigan might offer.

No chance. He'll stay at Leeds or go to the NRL unless he gets into serious trouble for bad behaviour
