well at least I won't have to fork out on fuel for another 150 mile round trip for a game that never was (yes I am still grumpy about that)

Agreed, I think it was scandalous that we weren't refunded for ccoach or match tickets

(I & everyone else who decided to drive up didn't get fuel refunded - and if you'd actually looked at the pitch, it was more than playable)

Wasn't the issue with the stands rather than the pitch? If it was in doubt they should have made the call earlier, and certainly refunded people

Are we using this as a proper warm-up game? Testimonials tend to be a run out for the crèche (at least in recent years).

The last testimonials we played in were for Roby and Westwood IIRC, we went full strength for those. Last one of ours was Lockers' at home to Hudds I think, again full strength.

Having said that we haven't gone full strength against Leigh in any of our regular friendlies against them so I wouldn't expect us to here (which I don't mind as it makes it a closer game and gives me a look at the fringe players)
