"From next season, the Dons have agreed to wear red and white hoops as their away kit, matching the shirts of the Rovers and the Belles".

And then finally:

"For instance we're talking to the Dons about doing their payroll and HR and have one very good team doing the work across the board at the stadium".

Can we have an official response from the club please.

I thought we were a community club were views were sought first.
Seems not!

We will have to stop that nonsense when we are in Superleague and playing away at Wigan.

I just found the report on page 95, top right.
I thought it was the one on page 89, top right at first.
That one reads ...

It's this Rovers character, who shall be nameless, who wants a 'brand' for the stadium and wants all systems integrated including payrolls, HR etc.
This is to save money, the downside is that the Rovers have involvement in many things about the Dons that they shouldn't.
I can see an end to my involvement if this is the thin end of the wedge. I would like a statement from DonsNews on this please from the club.

Red and white no thanks!
Shouldn't the Rovers be playing in blue and gold? These are their original colours from 1879.
I don't want anything to do with the football club if it can be helped.

The meddling has started already!

The more i think about this the more it annoys me.
What would have happened if we hadn't agreed?
And why have we agreed without consultation?

And another thing, the first time the Dons play in THAT away strip at home, which will be the next thing.........
THAT WILL BE MY LAST GAME!!!!!!

Also have a look at the back page under the article "Rovers Fresh Start", final bullet point:

"The Doncaster Rovers 'brand' is expected to eventually encompass all tenants of the Keepmoat Stadium - including the Dons..."

What does this mean?

Can see there might be some benefit in admin cost savings and maybe goods like medical equipment etc, but a change in colour seems a bit pointless . Two separate clubs, two separate identities, no need whatsoever to have closer ties , other than cost savings.
