The old saying goes "Why fix it if its not broken?" All these teams above, with the exception of Saints, are attempting to find an identity, a brand to market for the fans and success. We have all that in abundance!

Fulham, London, London Broncos, Harlequins RL, Quins RL, London Broncos, Have struggled for years to find an identity. This has had a detrimental effect on their fanbase. Effectively the nomads of SL.

The Vikings rebrand in conjunction with their purchase by the stobart group was also an attempt at marketing to a wider audience apparel which could be worn advertising Stobart but not instantly recognisable as a Widnes Vikings shirt.

Salford, hardly a rebrand, would just be like us removing 'Leeds' and the Rhinos head.

Catalans, again a team that have changed identity (more recently) and are striving to find that marketable brand. Their fanbase would suggest success!

I dont think we are being left behind. I think we are succesful, well marketed and easily identifiable. This, and the fact I have the badge tattooed on my right arm!

Can't put it better than Rhinoshaund III.
Plus:
Saints: Have merely updated an antiquated boring crest-type motif into a more modern boring crest-type motif.
London: Gone one better and created a slightly more interesting crest, but desperately needed to.
Widnes: Let's face it. They could have had a single letter V as a logo and it would have been better than that silly Viking picture. As it is they haven't done much more than that.
Salford: Have just removed the embarassing Sean McSatan figure along with the equally embarassing epithet, and discovered a little bit about shadow effects in the process.
Catalans: Needed fixing. The only one of these that I think is a job well done.

Finally Leeds: In no more need of change imo than the lettering on a box of KFC.

Your KFC point does not stack up!

The first KFC logo was introduced in 1952 and was used until 1978.


It featured a "Kentucky Fried Chicken" typeface and a logo of the Colonel.
It was replaced in 1978 with a similar logo, albeit with a similar typeface and a slightly different Sanders logo.

The "KFC" logo was introduced in 1991 and featured red stripes.


A change in 1997 added a smiling Colonel prominently to advertising.


In 2010 the logo was updated to feature the Colonel in an apron.

Read my post again...properly... and then tell me how dramatically the lettering on a box of KFC has changed in the last two decades
