Leigh Centurions are pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale at Leigh Sports Village for the eagerly awaited friendly against Wigan Warriors on Sunday 18 January 2015 (3pm).
The game will be the official Testimonial Match for Paul Prescott who served the Warriors with distinction before sadly being forced to retire early through injury. Paul also enjoyed a brief loan spell at Leigh Centurions earlier in his career. Wigan Warriors supporters have been allocated the East Stand at Leigh Sports Village with Leigh Centurions fans occupying the North and West stands. Prices for the game have been agreed and are as follows (season tickets are not valid for this fixture): Seating (East and West stands) Adults £19.00, Concessions £15.00, U16s £5.00, U12s free if accompanied by an adult. Standing (North stand) Adults £17.00, Concessions £13.00, U16s £5.00, U12s free if accompanied by an adult. Leigh Centurions Head of Rugby Derek Beaumont said: “We are really looking forward to this fixture as playing our neighbours Wigan is always a great occasion for the town irrespective of which players from their squad that they play. “Last season saw them send what many of our fans stated was a reserve or under-strength side yet seven of those players competed for the ultimate prize in the grand final at the end of the season. We will be looking to try and reverse last season’s defeat but are under no illusions how tough that will be given Shaun Wane has stated he will be sending a strong side including his new signings. “Rolls (Leigh Centurions Head Coach Paul Rowley) tackles every game head on to win and we will also field a very strong side returning from our warm weather camp and as well as fielding our new signings it will also be the first opportunity for fans to see FUIFUI MOIMOI don a Leigh shirt and show what he is capable of. “It promises to be a mouth-watering tie and one befitting of Paul Prescott’s testimonial, a player who has represented both clubs. In anticipation of a strong Wigan following we have allocated them the East Stand to enjoy the game. I am sure many of them will want to support Paul at the same time as gauging what impact FUIFUI MOIMOI and Leigh Centurions will have on the new structure of Rugby League in 2015.” A range of hospitality options are available for this game for the Premier Club with a two course meal before the game, quiz and celebrity speakers and interviews (including Paul Rowley, Kris Radlinski, Shaun Wane and Steve Hampson) and prime seats in the West Stand. These are priced at £49.95 plus VAT. More details from Leigh Centurions ticket office on 01942 487890 or enquiries@leighrl.co.uk Tickets are also available from the Wigan Warriors ticket office. |
