I thought this was a topic about Sam Burgess so unless Gutterfax is an alias for SB any chance of drifting back on track?

That could be anything from selling Hot Dogs at the ground to being the team Mascot.
I am surprised that the NZRU at any higher level would contract someone that also works for the NZRL, its a conflict that most businesses would not accept.
Still you know best, impressive Sporting resume by the way, mine is similar in other areas and some different Sports.

indeed, it could be hot dogs or mascots, although it would be strange for the owner of a direct marketing company to moonlight as hot dog vendor.
no conflict of interest between the sports here.......joint ticket offers between the blues and the warriors and now talk of double headers. The ability to think outside the box and put aside imaginary differences clears the way for further profitability. narrow minded fools with chips on their shoulders, attempting to right the wrongs of decades ago do nothing but hold either sport back.

another incidence of a RL fan pouring scorn and hate onto something they have little understanding of. How surprising.

I don't knock on your door, spam your in-box, cold call, SMS or fax you unsolicitedly (well...not any more 8) ), but I do leverage your connections and those of your friends to accentuate and increase awareness of my clients offering. I have also pushed heavily into the area of local schools and amateur clubs in a number of sports selling and being paid commission for tickets to larger scale events. We recently ploughed 6 figures back into NZ Netball off the back of sales to the Fast Five international series......played to full houses too. Shifted 7,000 NRL 9's tickets last year at a 30/70 split.....although they have cut back on the offers this year. Interesting to see if it still sells out given the price increases.

Just seen another ridiculous play at a rugby union ruck, Nathan Hinds just falls onto a back-rower who obviously then can't get away; the back-rower then got penalised AND yellow carded, this was in the Sale v Exeter match; there was another incident at the Clermont v Munster match last week, there are too many inconsistencies in continuous live rucks, they are great in theory but don't quite work out as planned, I know people call them organised chaos, but they are too ridiculous. Obviously scrum should go. Hope we don't bring back continuous live rucks into Rugby League.

Just watching this Union Gloucester v Bath on TV. (3 weeks of BT Sport left). Unfortunately no sign of Burgess yet. I know I was brought up with Rugby League and will obviously find Union absolutely crap. Well, again what utter garbage. Just two aspects of the game I've put myself through. A load of aimless kicking but, (noticeably) without the clapping. But mainly scrum after scrum after re-set scrum, re-set scrum After scrum etc . Without exaggeration, every scrum has ended up (eventually) with a penalty being awarded. What dross. Have to laugh, even the Union types on commentary are saying that their rules should be changed so that a knock on etc means a penalty to the other side to avoid all this scrum nonsense
Had to laugh when they suggested that when a player gets the ball, they should look up rather than run into their own player in front of them!
Sorry to go on but feeling a bit spaced out after that first half garbage.
Hoping Burgess will get on. But given the numbers on the field (30 v only 26 in RL) and the stupid rules, I'm beginning to see that in their game there is not much one man can do to improve things. Their problem. Here we go, second half (yawn) (smirk at how seriously they all take themselves).

Good for you.......3 weeks bt sport left so you feel compelled to watch a game you neither understand or like rather than any of the other 100+ channels that are on offer. You would seem to be an advertisers wet dream.

For what it's worth, Sam Burgess got on for the last 11 minutes. I honestly can't say it was worth the wait. He got one pass (which he passed straight away, creating a try) and wasn't required to make a single tackle!

As I said, every scrum ( re-set scrum) ended with a penalty. Apart from into second half. A prop got sinned binned. Meant one or two scrums had (under their rules) to be "uncontested". The Union type commentators were so excited that the ball came out of the scrum and got passed to the backs! That was until the prop came back on and things went back to normal!

Had to laugh when even the Union commentator was so cheesed off with how crap things were that he referred to the Union forwards as "fat boys getting over-paid".

Obviously Sam Burgess will have made new mates and is being very well paid but I honestly wonder what he must think he has got mixed up in.

Good job Sam takes it less seriously than me and some others on here: his own Twitter header describes himself as "A Northern lad living in the South-West playing a bit of "ruggers" (my inverted commas) for...Bath". Got to laugh - or you'd cry at the waste of talent.

Do we have anyone with a knowledge of Psychiatry on this forum. If so, could they please get in touch with Gutterfax and offer him some help.

Was it Austin Healy complaining? He was having a go at scrums during the week on British Telecom Television.
