Slightly off topic but the Premier League are putting Friday night matches out to tender for next season, if Sky bid for them it could signal a lessening of interest in RL.
The PL is seeking tenders now but I understand that they will be offering 10 Friday night games throughout the season starting in 2016-17, reffy.
I do though share your concern that RL is likely to be kicked into the long grass yet again - perhaps we will be asked to play with a 10.30 pm ko so as to fill the gap between the football and the boxing ???
Maybe that will teach the RFL to jump straight into bed with Sky without putting the deal out to tender - but then again I doubt it.

There's only going to be a small number of Friday matches if I remember correctly, wouldn't think it would impact much on SL - especially since they moved SL to Thursday night.
P.S. No Champions League for Sky Sports from next season too.
