I think our weakness at prop has led to a knackered backrow because they've been doing prop work in-field. That's had a knock on effect on our support runs. Hopefully an injury free season for JJB along with Ward & Walters might see some pace in our backrow.

In the games he played last season, Walters looked really dangerous because he ran a short line off JP when we put that turn-up play on. It meant JP could either give the pass out the back, pop it up for Walters on his shoulder or go on his own. Nobody else seemed interested in offering that option when he wasn't in the side, which is staggering.

I think the stick Watkins and Moon receive isn't really justified. You can blame it on structure or players not making enough runs off the ball but really it all comes down to the slow PTB. We all talk about the metres as the be all and end all but really an ability to gain a quick PTB, something you can't measure with stats is really the most important ability a forward can have, and when you look at our pack Ablett is the only forward we have whom finds his front and gets quick ball sp it's no wonder Burrow doesn't make many breaks these days, and it isn't really a surprise our attack looks pedestrian at times.

Agree with that. Walters added some pace and enthusiasm to the backrow in attack. To be fair to JJB I think he did the same when he returned from injury but mostly in defence.

I really like what I saw from Walters last year, obviously very raw but he had a dynamism and relish for contact I haven't seen from us for a while.
