KR, FC, Widnes and Wakey have to be favourites for the bottom 4, the top 8 are much stronger. The only one that might drop out is Cas. Even if KR have a few new players with NRL experience.

Bookies have Hull making the 8 and Cas missing out.

Even though us and hull fc finish roughly on the same points and only a place apart hulls odds are always a lot shorter

I have, Hull have always had the 'big club' hype and have a more fans who will bet on them regardless of continually not delivering.

Lets be honest the title will be took in Lancashire again next year.

You do realise odds are not based on where bookies think a team will finish. It is a combination of factors but the "Outright" is who is more likely to win the league. Therefore, Hull start above favourites because the bookies believe they are more likely to win the league than Cas.

However, Cas have longer odds because they are not likely to win the league outright and the odds are longer to a) make it more attractive to people to bet on them and b) because it's in all honesty easy money for the bookies if they don't win.

For teams like Saints, Wigan, Wire - they are much more likely to be in contention for top spot so they get shorter odds to make them more unattractive to people gambling as the return will be less and because if they made odds higher, they'd lose loads.

If it was "who will finish in the eight" then I reckon Cas would start on a par with Hull, Hull KR and Salford, with Wigan, Wire, Saints, Leeds and Huddersfield certainties, Catalans in between and Widnes/Wakefield bringing up the back end.

For people who want to seriously debate it and not just hijack every tedious thread jean starts with tedious mocking ha ha, now that we (bulls) are not in super league looking at the league the two teams im looking forward to seeing most this season are catalans and KR. I really think if they click KR could easily make the 8. We were having the debate at work about who will finish bottom 4, looking at hins the only 2 I personally think are definites are Widnes and Wakey (no disrespect to either) and I think it will shape up to be one of te most competitive leagues in years. Whether or not the new structure will work is to be seen but so far I think it has made it prove that 12 teams was always the way forward

If Todd Carney, Morgan Escare, Villiami Sione Tonga, Eloi Pelissier, and John Zebolon Taia are not out injured for more than a few games each, then Catalans are certainties for the top 8, and likely to make the top 4.

The bookmakers seem to be incapable of giving weight to new player recruits on the team's chances of attaining silver ware, or a place in the top 8. That is why they have undervalued both Catalans and Hull KR in their current odds. It is absurd to think that Hull KR will not be stronger on paper in 2015, than it was in 2014. The same is true for Catalans.

My father taught me to do that whenever I first mention someone in a sentence. He said that it is giving respect due to the other person, so long as the other person is not a serious criminal such as a rapist or a murderer. I don't need to do it in subsequent sentences of the same story.
