Anybody remember this match think I was about 15 early 80s a cold wet winter day at the boulivard we were under the cos from hulls attack on Wakey try line Andy fletcher some how intercepted a pass and ran the full length of field/sandpit happy days but wet through

1980, I believe it was 5 – 2.

It was about the only chance we had all game.

I remember Fletch picking the ball up in our own in-goal area and scorching the full length at Hull KR's Craven Park, but we still lost. Think he had Clive Sullivan on his heels all the way.

If Fletch was in the clear you knew it was TRY.Even with one or two to beat usually TRY.

i went to this i was only 11 but i can remember going with my brother. it was 5-2 to wakefield and hull hadnt lost at home for yonks. andy fletcher intercepted the ball in the first few minutes and run length of field. it was a very murky day and hull played down the middle and our pack tackled them out of it. we went top of the league and then played cas boxing day at home and they hammered us. hull were just starting to get into their glory era and got over 10000 regular.
