In the light of Widnes Vikings being fined £20,000, has anyone heard if any of the lunatics that caused the bother been charged?
Also who is actually in charge of running the security at semi final cup games? I would have thought the RFL but it seems they have done sweet F,A, apart from passing the buck onto Widnes.
The TV coverage was very clear so surely something should have been done.

yes some have already been charged and its an ongoing case with the police

Damn shame for widnes! How can you punish a club for an event not held at there stadium? Not there job to police the crowd away is it! Unless they are known idiots who have a ban at widnes games. Anybody can turn up for a big game and prove to be an idiot and make a show!

Just a thought,if the idiots are found guilty would it not be within the Widnes clubs rights to reclaim the money they were fined by the RFL from the idiots?It may send out a message to other fools.

So should Hudds have been made responsible for the hull fans who ran riot at the semifinal?

Well whoever is in control of the security jools. Pretty certain the Giants had little say in how the security was set up that day either! Whoever was supposedly in control! As widnes would have taken action irrespective of the fine as the bad publicity it caused would have done enough damage on that club

You're missing the point Jools, I suggest that after the idiots are convicted then Widnes should bring charges against them to reclaim the amount of money from the idiots not from the RL.

Im not missing the point my comment was in response to someone elses comment. I think Widnes should try to reclaim the money!
