He was stood down by North Sydney last year due to an investigation involving performance enhancing drugs, don't know the outcome but maybe that had something to do with it. Was looking forward to see how he goes someone I know played with him down there and said he was a very good player

He was cleared of the drug charge.

Apparently the drugs charge was from banter he thought he was having with a mates GF on social media which was handed to the press, always tested negative but set his career back as he was in the Souths 25 that year

I hope an official statement is released about why the rfl opposed this move

This stinks,its gone beyond a joke now, in our league London will be like a set of Neighbours and Sheffield have at least 3 or 4 non UK players,the Kolpak thing does not wash with me.I don't want to bring up the fact that we have 100s of thousands of illegal immigrants in our country and here is a lad who will not cost the tax payer a penny and contribute to making lots of people happy to see him play.

This country blows my mind sometimes and the RFL are only interested in keeping the staus quo and never do anything to help Leigh, only hinder our progress.

Aren't the regulations that a player has to have played 50% of the available NRL games unless they're a promising youngster and the like?

Never been one to go in for RFL conspiracies and the like, but how many actual games has 27 year old Ben Farrar played in recent years, never mind NRL level, and surely anyone can argue that 'they would be playing if it wasn't for Billy Slater' as in the case of Denny Solomona who has now gone to Cas from London?!

To be honest Leigh in my opinion have the two best wingers in the Championship in Higson & Kay with decent backup players including Pownall ,Pitman ect we have some great young players coming through so I'm not that user really that CJ won't be coming to Leigh..But like others I think it stinks when you look at Sheffield team and one or two others any bugger can come into this country get a house benefits ect contribute nowt to the country just screw it and a bloke like Curtis wants to come and contribute something positive to the UK and gets turned down its behond a joke it's scandalous

I dont know what all the moaning at the RFL is about. He was never going to get a Visa in a month of Sundays. The criteria is quite strict on a working Visa and he didnt tick any of the boxes.

Predictable!! how many occasions have Leigh been turned down for overseas players? (don't answer I'm not really interested!) I'll bet if Catalan wanted him he'd be there! bad boy Todd Carney will turn the Cats into a top two team IMO next season, so what!!
Its unbelievable every year we face the Eagles who, would be nothing without their overseas players.
Someone has said we had the best two wingers in our division last season in Higson & Kaye and I would agree with that!
I wonder if Curtis will play in the UK one day? that would be interesting!!
