Having Blake Ferguson playing alongside William Tonga and Todd Carney would create a devastating backline combination. The club would have to release Benjamin Pomeroy, which would be a good thing. Having Blake Ferguson in the centres in place of Pomeroy would increase Catalans try scoring capacity by 300%.

He makes Carney look like Mother Theresa. Wouldn't touch him with a bargepole and I dont think we will

But Gregory Bird, former Catalans captain, made Carney look like Mother Theresa too.

Bird glassed his girlfriend. He could have blinded her. Is sexual assault worse than that?

Latest reports are that Ferguson will be allowed to play for Sydney Roosters (not officially confirmed by NRL). So he is for the time being unlikely to be looking overseas.

I think he would have been a sensational addition to the Dragons strike power out wide. However on second thoughts, having him in the same club as Todd Carney might not have been good for the rehabilitation of either.
