What that shows is some clubs are doing a great job in difficult economic times, but the warning, especially to Wakefield, is that a shiney new stadium isn't the end of the road. Salford (although better), Widnes and in some ways Huddersfield (although they are on the increase again) should really be better.

I'd rather wait to see future stats than this years, we have done a bargain season ticket this year

I agree, and to be fair i think its only a jump over the license hurdle, it is by no means a guaranteed golden egg.
What is another worry for the clubs is the economics of the attendances, are they suffering with from lower income at the expense of posting artificially higher figures.
Pressure on both counts comes from SL and it is a shame.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

This is further evidence that Wakey could be a top club in a new stadium. A 10k average is easily possible in a new stadium.

The only reason we are down so far this year is because we still have 'The big one' to come against Hull and also the saints game at the end of the season. Hull will be 20k+ and Saints should be 22-23k ish... depending on how much that game could change things.

just being simplistic.
not a maths exspert.
but looking at the figers provided 8058 per match so far
brakedown as follows.

say early birds prices season tickets ect 4000 x 100 = 400,000
4058 x 15 x 13 = 611,310 ( plus magic weekend ? )
notwith standing sky contributions(1,300,000 ?),( sponerships think we are haveing best year ever yo 300,00),comunity grants (500K?)
with wage bill this year around say 1.200,000 looks great for next year and putting a great team together to realy compeat.

Looks good but how many of the 4,000 ST's sold were to juniors at £20 not £100?

This is also a guess but
2500 adults x £100 = £250,000
1500 juniors x £20 = £30,000
Walkups (bearing in mind junior ST holders at other clubs get in free, our junior support and concessions and reduced prices for certain games through Silver membership)
4,058 x £10 (average) x 13 = £527,540

So gate receipts of just over £800k

I don't know how accurate that is as it's all guesswork but would have thought it a bit closer than your figure.

Still good revenue but it's easy to see how difficult it is to predict figures as this is 20% below your figure.

When you add in the Sky money and commercial stuff it looks good but remember as well as Players salaries there is admin and coaching staff, ground staff and community work to pay for out of that if we are to be sustainable.

I guess all I'm saying is don't expect to see massive increases in the playing budget just yet.

silver mebership is taking in witht he original 4000 figer
10 pounds per game is impossable and must be much nearer my figer
so compromise and it would be around 900k 900k for admin and coaches dont think so but that would still leave around 900k
except this is all conjecture but i guess when the accounts come out ( when will that be ) we all might be abit wiser unless our gates are not what we are portraying?

Lets also not forget the match day sales of food and drink and this is where past records come in when setting season ticket prices.Do you sell 1000 at x amount or 3000 at half that amount and end up making an extra £1000 a game by doing a cheaper deal and the increase in food and drink sales.Cant see the club selling as many season tickets next year with how the on field product is going and we are now away from that "new owner new day watch us go now" feeling.

Re selling the same number of tickets, I think it will increase if the club can pull off 2/3 really good signings.

Heritage day game. Just good marketing.
