Just watching countryfile, they showed a game called ' nur and spel ' , basically a glorified version of ' Piggy ' so who's ever played it, not forgetting you had to make your own pig and stick?

Maybe something for some half time entertainment next year?

Attempted 'Piggy' and, although I had a pretty good eye, as a youngster, for ball games, my hand/eye co-ordination for 'Piggy' was virtually non-existent! mind you, it was mainly safer than some maniac hurling a cricket ball at you, at about 90 mph!

When I was a kid nobody in the street had a telly so a lot of us played piggy.

I took a Piggy to uni to play at dinner time in the summer, everyone laughed at me, then played it, got cross at not being able to do it, worked it out and got really into it, then noticed passing motorists laughing at us jumping about like idiots! It's a brilliant game.


[Edit: Also got laughed at by the only person to have heard of the game, he's Chinese, apparently in China Piggy is "a children's game!"]
