He would have screamed the house down if Rovers had told him you can come back but if you don't perform you don't get paid I have read on a couple of Oz web sites where he is going back to one of at least four clubs, something is not right in the system
There is no point in keeping any player who is unhappy, no matter what their contract is. At least by letting him go we can use the money to bring in someone who is going to give 100% to the cause. Costigan will have been a high earner, so we will have the money to replace him, the problem will be re-arranging the plans and finding someone.
FWIT, I though Costigan was a very good defender for us and will be a loss.
