I don't see the problem with BC taking the mickey out of a Rovers fan. If it was a sackable offence then Hull FC would be without a team as they take the mickey out of their supporters whenever they take the field.

The Hodgson incident is another of those things that gets blown out of all proportion by the mock outrage brigade. Just like Monaghan and Carney etc before him.

Yes he's representing his country and no he shouldn't have done it, but what harm has he done really? It's exactly what you expect to happen when a group of guys and alcohol come together. He should apologise, pay for the door, and that's the end of it.

As for Cockayne. Personally I agree with him. But like someone has already said. It's really not the new culture that Chester talks about. Shows a lack of respect for the fans imo.

Sad thing is its just about the only coverage the tournament has got on the national media outlets, listened to about half an hour summary of a group of RU friendlies, prem league and Scottish football before realising it wasn't going to get mentioned at all.

For what its worth
Ben Cockayne is his own worst enemy why would you put such a thing on Social Media when you know it will get back to Coach / Owner. Has he not already got himself in trouble with his Twitter Account.
I guess some people do not learn lessons in life. Once is a mistake twice is just unreal for a pro sportsman

It's now being reported that he was told the door was being replaced the next morning in any event. So no harm done, move on, back to moaning about McNamara please.

Good job it wasn't a fire door, he would have had a busted shoulder
