Great idea, well done to both clubs but particularly Swinton for donating their share. Hopefully it will be well supported by the local community.

Marwan has his moments. He named a race horse after Steve Prescott and donates all the winnings.

There is a difference between the man and the owner.

As a man I'm sure he is a very nice man who does great charitable works.
As an owner he is there to promote Salford above all else. I would not confuse people slagging off Marwan the owner; the same as lenaghan the owner, heatherington the owner and McMannus the owner; as being the same as slagging Marwan off personally.

Whilst Wigan and Saints fans will never see eye to eye over the virtues of our teams and owners, that does not mean if we met them in the street we are going to abuse the men.

Except Hethrington of course. He's not a nice individual and as trustworthy as Jack the Ripper in a brothel. From personal experience, I may add.

He may have his detractors, but this is a touch of class from a man who already, as mentioned, gives the winnings from his horse Steve Prescott to the Steve Prescott Foundation.

I met Marwan in Costco a few months back and he was a great bloke to speak to.
