another good shout from the KR board is Whitley Bay, not long on the Metro and loads of B&B's, maybe fill 3 or 4 with your travelling army?

it's supply and demand, the same everywhere, you think if it was at the KC The Village would be any less than £300 a night?

£75p/p is not expensive in honesty, it's not like a package holiday in a huge soulless comple... oh actually, if you stay in Gateshead, it's a like a package holiday to Camp Bastion!

I know but do they put prices up for premier league home games for visiting fans

yes

they also put up prices for events at the Arena, etc.

it even gets expensive during Edinburgh festival!

Too slow I am afraid, I got rooms just outside the metro centre on the day it was announced and paying £530ish for 4 rooms from Fri to sunday. Works out at £65 each per person for the weekend.

From prev experience you have to get on hotels straight away at magic weekend. Its the only event you do, if not you will be left to those who cotton on and up prices or the generally more expensive ones.

As I just put on the virtual terrace:

Be interesting to see if they use this years table for the fixtures, as by quirk of fate it has dished up some attractive fixtures

Saints-Wigan
Hudds-Cas
Wire-Leeds
Catalan-Widnes
Rovers-Salford
Hull-Wakefield

with the exception of Catalan-Widnes, and perhaps Rovers-Salford its pretty much teams that either have a rivalry or are near each other.
