Do you mean don't go to the car boot sale or to watch the Dons?

The cost of admission or car parking charges isn't a issue with me you and lot of other supporters are surmising that admission prices & car parking costs are the reasons fans are staying away I admit that it will deter some fans from coming to support the Dons but not all of them, you need to find out the reasons why they don't support the Dons anymore.

Take todays attendance of 647 & look at the attendances I posted on this forum last week for home games in 1990
e.g.
Fulham 2211
Trafford Borough 1933
Runcorn 2149
Workington 2248
I don't think those teams would have brought many supporters so you need to find out why those missing supporters don't come to watch the Dons anymore. Ask the club to put a questionnaire in the Star & Free Press asking why fans don't attend anymore.

The Dons home fixture in January 1990 against Keighley had an attendance of 1968

You have stated in the last couple of weeks you will not be attending anymore Dons games, so its obvious what I meant .

Geoff you can quote crowds as long as want its now that counts, I could quote a e crowd of 71 , does that mean that it is all roses. NO , the crowds are poor .

I stated around two years ago why I wouldn't be attending the Dons anymore I haven't posted anything in the last couple of weeks about my reasons


You still don't know the reasons why the support as dropped off the club needs to find out the reasons why.

The attendance you quote was actually 72 for an away fixture against Blackpool played on 20/2/1977 I was one of the 72

The lowest recorded home attendance for a Dons game was 105 against Workington Town 27/4/1982 again I was at this game.

It's no good saying i was at that game and this game, so would have been alot of us.

Morning all Thank you to standoffish for directing me to the thread. As I said to him via e-mail I'm more than happy to answer any questions via the forum or directly via e-mail at shaun.lockwood@doncasterroversfc.co.uk A few weeks ago we requested fans to get in touch and help shape the future of the Dons, http://www.doncasterrugbyleague.co.uk/a ... ience-have At Doncaster Rovers we have worked alongside supporters on a fan engagement project called In Rovers We Trust, which has been viewed a great success by all parties, I'd very much like replicate the philosophy of In Rovers We Trust with the Dons, but we do need your help. If I'm honest I do think this would work better with face to face meetings rather than a message board, as I believe dialogue would flow better and quicker and with that in mind I'm happy to meet up with supporters who want to. All that being said, if anyone does have any questions please post them here and direct them to my attention. Thanks Shaun

A lot of the supporters were concessions and with the current price a number of these have been lost.If you compare the price at other clubs for concessions relative to full price the Dons fare badly.
For me to attend a game it would cost £25 with fuel admission and parking
