It's perfectly legitimate to question having a national coach over there, of course it is. What's ridiculous is saying that the RFL should waste a good £1,000 or so flying the bloke back only to get straight back on the same plane. They travelled business class and will have all been sat watching films etc, it's not like they'd be discussing tactics with him stood at the front.
McNamara held a teleconference the other day with the media, these days that is just as good as the real thing.
