Ah one of the chuckle brothers has appeared, correct me if iam wrong but didnt both the hornes start at east hull along with wilkin, and didnt we turn hodgson who couldnt get a game in your fantastic side into an international ?
Gray Horne = myton & FC. Dick Horne = isberg & FC.
Our current squad. Cockayne dixon, walker, carlile, goulding, hopefully myler and lunt all british, welham, salter horne, cox, green, ollett, esslemont, guzdek, hallett, robinson all currently in our squad, all played s/l, marsh and holker in the squad and all came through our system, richard horne, john wilkin also josh hodgson, scott taylor, and dont forget we were the last club to join s/l in 2007 and IMO we have done ok. Now about your lack of support bearing in mind ken davey virtually gives you a season pass and a lot of your players came through your system, which you say is what is wanted, why the lack of support for a reasonably successful side ?
first of all, we don't have season passes, we have season tickets like the rest of the country, and £235 is hardly "giving them away" or are you still in 2009 when they were £99?
out of the players you have mentioned- the first 5 might be british, but they were developed by other clubs, rovers signed them when they were established first team players..the others you mentioned ( horne and cox apart) have hardly been regulars, although green did play quite a lot this year, and how many of those will get a chance next year with all the new signings? point was, that despite being in super league for 8 years now, you haven't produced very many players in that time, compared to most other SL clubs.
it's irrelevant where a player comes from IMO out of our current squad, i would say the ones we have developed ( ones who have gone on to play in super league) lawrence cudjoe crabtree mcgilvary lunt patrick fairbank connor leeming johnson miller aspinall
some would say wardle too as he has developed into a class act, although he could have made it at bradford
i would say that 12 of our squad from 2014 have been developed by us.

Bang on with this post, they haven't produced no outstanding players.
It doesn't matter what town players are from. For me a homegrown player is somebody who signed at the club at 16 or under irrelevant of what town they come from.
The reality is that their amateur clubs bring them on and then at 16 they go up several levels when signed on scholarship. I wouldn't class Wardle, lunt or Patrick as ours because they have come through a different youth system. A bit like the Hornes and Hodgson at Hull KR.
My last response was to a couple of posters not just the techy fella who classes lunt as a HKR player!
