Interesting comment from Marc Green, who says that 10% of new members are returning fans who haven't had a ticket for the last few years. An encouraging sign which bodes well for the future.

Cancelled out by the 20% who got one this season and won't next?

To be honest the quote seemed meaningless to me but I'm a cynical scumbag.

Hard to tell how it's going to balance out, but presumably the 10% figure is taken from the computer records so I guess is accurate. If it's also an accurate reflection, in general, of how the new management is perceived by those who have, shall we say, declined to support the side recently, then I'd say it was a good sign.

It would be daft to think that no-one was going to find the new prices too much, and I expect there will be quite few, though I assume your 20% is a guess or based on your personal friends, so we'll have to wait and see how it pans out in reality. That said, anyone who's supported the side regularly over the last three years is either a masochist or very keen so I'd guess that most of those who simply can't see their way to buying a season ticket will try to find the 'on the gate' price on an every other week basis.

I'm not sure that's going to be the case. The club have laid out the season ticket costs along with a fair justification for the increase in price.

Yeah they have and, for me, it was a good idea to lay their cards on the table, as it were. That said, it would be pretty naive to think that some in a, let's face it, less well off area like Bradford, aren't going to find it somewhere between hard and impossible to find the money up front, however persuasive the arguments. I'm not totally sure just talking just about members and ST holders tells the whole story though.

Season tickets more expensive though, so more people paying on gate. Financially it should be better for the club. 10% who haven't brought before is a high number I think. Considering we've just been relegated.

It isn't necessarily 10% who haven't bought before. Just people who didn't buy last year. Given OK walked out a week after season tickets went on sale I suspect quite a few people who would normally get a season ticket opted to pay on gate this year due to uncertainty around takeover overshadowing pre-season.
