Natural successor although I'm sure Saints fans would rather him had at least 1 more year as a number 2

It's been the plan for the last 2 years, and was part of Browns remit to "get him ready" - obviously another year would of been nice, but Brown seemed to feel his job was done.

I don't see it as a risk, no one knows what's expected better than KC and trust the people in charge to of judged correctly whether he's served his apprenticeship... Of course the acid test is how he uses our remaining cap space before the season kicks off...

I was fairly surprised he didn't take it on the first time round. maybe he has done it the sensible way
