And I don't think he's been that great the last few months!
At least players can have a rest and be ready for the start of the season - Anderson didn't want brough to play for Scotland- given his recent injury can't say I blame him.
Maybe it will be the kick up the bottom some players need.

From a selfish point of view I'm glad. From a realistic point of view I think ferres should count himself lucky to have made the 24.

Could be a long tour.

Good we have someone to represent. I think I'd be a mixture of annoyed and pleased if he put in a performance good enough to win a playoff game!!

On a posative it'll be the biggest rest Leroy will get this season so hopefully we'll see him hit form that saw him getting his England place and our squad can all return to training together.

Ferres lucky to be in really, guess his performances in the world cup last year swayed it.

on the plus side for cudjoe he will finally get a break!! could do him the world of good.

wardle and brough playing for scotland, lets hope for no serious injuries, brough could have done with a breal too really he has been on the go for a long time

can't say any of our players deserve a call up, they have all been pretty average, although with mcilorum and roby ruled out lunt could probably count himself unlucky.

saying that our lads play in the wrong colours, cherry and white are the colours to wear if you want an international cap this year!

he's a good player no doubt, as is joe burgess, but are they really international class after just one season with wigan?
if they played for any other team apart from wigan or leeds they wouldn't get a look in surely?
it just seems that anyone who has a decent enough season can get a call up depending on who they play for.

Think he's quite lucky to get in again even though he probably did enough in the World Cup to get the call-up.

With regards to the Burgess kid, i think the fact he's had a good season for Wigan meant he was always going to get called up simply because the media almost insist on any youngster from the top clubs getting an international call in their 1st or 2nd years. Jerry McGillvary has been outstanding for many years, finishes like a winger, runs like a forward and no one has EVER mentioned him as an international but if he played in Cherry & White, Blue & Amber etc he would be a shoe-in for the National team.
Burgess is good but good enough for his country after 8 months ??
As for Sarginson and Tomkins, that is definitely a case of the club they play for getting them the call....can't say i've seen anything better from Sarginson than i have any other centre this year and Tomkins is in cos he is a media favourite since going and returning to the boring code.

think the winger burgess has been great this season, unlikely to play but young and will be a good experience for him to tour down under with the squad, which will help in the future with his development which is likely to be the reason he is in, got to plan ahead

same could be said for every half decent young player, would he have been picked if he didn't play for Wigan though ? obviously playing for them he is in the limelight more than if he played for others
