It mustn't be good for viewing figures, prior to pulling out Premier Sports said Sundays were out of the question.

Sky coming around here, putting money into the game and then deciding when the most popular fixtures are televised on the night's with the highest viewing figures.

Disgusting. The game was far better off with one game on Saturday afternoon courtesy of ITV.

Premiership football wouldn't have games shown on weekdays.

Actually looking at it rationally and withdrawing any personal issues with Thursday nights, then we haven't come out of the Thursday fixtures too bad at all.

There are 22 rounds of Thursday night games so given that Catalans are tied to Saturday fixtures then each of the other 11 teams get 2 home and 2 away fixtures, which is exactly what we have. Our two away games are both extremely local to our travelling fan-base and against teams that play evening matches anyway (and we avoid Friday night motorway madness) so no missing out on Sunday games. Our two home Thursday fixtures are both in July when the weather should be better rather than a freezing February or March evening.

Looks like Gatcliffe and Broomhead may have pulled off a bit of a coup with these fixtures on behalf of the fans.

Wigan have 6 Thursday Sky fixtures, four away from home including at Wakefield and Hull.

Imagine how f**k**g upset people would be if Warrington had been given those fixtures!

Another good thing is that every tv fixture for the regular rounds is now fixed (except Easter Bank Holiday Monday KO time) so we won't see anybody moaning about last minute fixture changes (or if you do see it then you know it will be somebody just moaning for the sake of moaning).

Very angry if I was a Wigan fan but I'm not.

We can't all be in the privileged position you are in Paul.

So ok, ill just say nothing, after all 10 tickets, 40 drinks, 10 pies is peanuts.
In fact most people could just stay at home, it's on tv, thank you Sky.
Why doesn't Broomhead pull another master stroke and save all those game day overheads like paying for all the game day staff?
