LISA Meeting & Player Unveiling : Mon Oct 20, 2014 2:26 pm
On behalf of LISA I would like to invite Leigh Centurions fans old and new to an important event at the Banqueting Suite at Leigh Sports Village on Thursday 30 October 2014 from 7pm onwards. As you may all know LISA is an acronym for Leigh Independent Supporters Association, and as the name suggests is an Independent Supporters Group for the Leigh Centurions. LISA has been in existence for many years, with the main goal of helping to finance new players to the club which is mainly achieved by members’ contributions.
Through generous contributions by LISA members and support by Leigh fans in general we have managed to help the club bring in players who would have not normally been signed. The LISA Roll of Honour includes players such as Ryan Brierley, Tom Spencer, Sam Hopkins and Martin Aspinwall from the current squad plus past favourites such as Vila Matautia, Stuart Donlan, Neil Turley and Adam Bristow.
The more members we have enables us Leigh fans to help make our great club the best it can be. The relationship between the Centurions and LISA is an excellent one and LISA is officially recognised as one of the club’s strategic partners.
The special event at LSV on the 30 October will feature an exclusive announcement from Leigh Centurions Head of Rugby Derek Beaumont concerning three new signings, one of whom has been funded by the support of LISA. Two of the players will be in attendance together with Head Coach Paul Rowley and Mike Latham and Allan Rowley will be joint MCs for the evening at which there will be opportunities for those present to ask questions of the coach, players and club officials.
Fred Parkinson from LCTV will also present a video footage of our third new signing, who will not be in attendance, in action.
The evening will also serve to reaffirm LISA’s commitment to supporting Leigh Centurions and new members will be encouraged to join the organisation to further strengthen the support we can give the Centurions as we look forward to an exciting 2015 season.
Derek Beaumont will also reveal a number of exclusive events and offers that will only be available to LISA members, such as invitations to watch training sessions and exclusive player meets. Enjoy a full video review session delivered by Paul Rowley and Neil Jukes to the players analysing the previous game and planning for the next one. There will be a weekly draw amongst members to be upgraded to the banqueting suite for each home game. You can only win it once though! There will also be a draw for most away games for a member to travel as a guest of the directors and enjoy the away experience as a director.
Let’s fill the Banqueting Suite on Thursday 30 October and show that LISA is going from strength to strength in its support of the record-breaking Centurions! I look forward to seeing you there!
