He did ok for Salford when he stole the ball of krs Greg & made him look the fool he is, all the pundits on sky & BBC talked about how good he is all season, he will go well for us. Topped the stats table even though Finn is apparently the best Cas had, he must be some decent support playing HB to be top try assist, in a comp with Brough,Smith,Chase,Burns, eh? Time will only tell how he goes, but I'm glad we've got him & rankin & Pryce, also Abdul,HTW,Dean we are looking good imo, who you got filtering through? Beharrel is been let go according to hinchy & Gateshead's new coach.
Sneyd was behind Brough for try assists according to the SL site. Still very impressive though. There's a subtle difference between being creative and being an organiser. I don't think anybody is saying that Finn is a better player, just that he took that particular role on more.
Kelly himself says he prefers to play in a freer role, with a more off the cuff style, so we're not expecting him to bring the structure. Personally I think you do need some from somewhere. Myler and Kelly (like I'd even heard of him before last week) could work as split halfbacks, but I'm not sure we have a pivot 13 to facilitate that.
Don't forget that not so long ago one or two Hull fans were trying us to convince us it was Miller on loan rather than (possibly) Myler. Did you not chuck in Anthony Thackeray's name at one point? Watch him be our 3rd hb, now I've said that. So, if nowt else we're pleased to see the end of that and enjoy the novelty of this new trolling approach with its tinge of protest-too-much nervousness.
