strangely enough whoever was posting as frank whitcombe (who started all the talk of a benefactor) also seems to have disappeared.

A decision has been made NOT to pay HMRC the £82k and, in preference to pay this month's salaries as stated by Mr Couby, publicly, on several occasions. HMRC could have been paid and no winding up order issued if so desired. (money for salries could have paid HMRC)
The ONLY and I state again for ADEY the only VAT liability is £250,000 agreed to be paid over 5 months.
The other liability is Image Rights which was potentially £500,000 but is NOW £250,000 to be paid over 3 years. With potential income of £12,000,000 over the period that equtes to 2.01% of turnover.

The first paragraph looks to be written by someone still at the club? In an earlier post I said there were a couple of other possibilities for who you might be. Those were Stuart - who I originally thought you were - or possibly Ryan.

But anyway, it's not for me - I want you to be the one telling the truth since I have been telling the same story, and would look very foolish indeed should it transpire that you are not! Its for the others supporters who feel they are just being spun by both sides and do not know what to believe.

The second para is pretty well word for word what PH said in his rebuttal statement.

Thank you for your unequivocal statement there. Guess its for the fans to form a view who is lying!

I presume we are not playing semantics with any disputes with HMRC the liability in respect of which (if any) has not yet been agreed?

Had to smile at "2.01% of turnover". When you're teetering on the brink like the Bulls, £250k is a big deal however its dressed up (or down).

Ellery just confirms the game in the UK is in the same boat as it was when he was a player.

Both Hood with his letters to 1000 wealthy people and Pledge for survival, and now Coulby use the term 'invest' when what they appear to mean is 'give'. I never believed Hood and for the precise same reason have to ask the same of Coulby. What are these 'investors' getting in return? My understanding of an investment is the purchase of a stake or share.

Who was the person Caisley was referring to when he stated that Hood told him someone was prepared to buy the club out of administration?

My understanding of investment is something which (hopefully) will bring a return.

The return need not be financial though, indeed there have been many examples over the years of people putting their hard earned money into local sport for little more than the kudos obtained. If some wealthy individual wants to gain the esteem and thanks of the local populace by spreading his largesse into the Bulls then let him come (please!).

I'd include sponsors as investors too. They pay to be involved commercially with clubs and get their reward through the advertising, but not so far as I'm aware, by getting any shares in the clubs; JCT sponsor Bulls, Bradford and Bingley RU, Yorkshire cricket and used to sponsor Bfd City, but to the best of my knowledge have no shares in any.

I'm not holding my breath though.

I'm not sure sponsorship and investment are the same although I see some crossover. Sponsorship is a commercial activity, the benefits of which have to be demonstrable to the BOD of the company. JCT has had a long term, and it has to be said, very successful strategy of sponsoring local teams/clubs which i'm presuming has coincided with them selling a lot of cars.

Whilst I agree some invest for the kudos, invariably what they are looking for is a say in how the club is run. This is particularly the case when a club is in the state ours is in. Coulby has said the investors don't want to give money to see it go to the taxman which suggest they are demanding some input already.

Why did we never manage to find another stadium sponsor once the Grattan deal ran out?
Almost every team in SL - and several within the lower leagues - have deals that see their stadiums named after the sponsor. Surely there must be someone out there willing to pay to have the stadium named after them, a deal which could be worth a serious chunk of money if handled properly.
