Hi,I have been asked by the club if we will be doing a sponsorship from RAB again. Would people be interested?
What I have been told is that sponsorships are available in 3 bands:
£500 (for players expected to be fringe players)
£750 (for players expected to be regulars)
£1,000 (for 'star' players - likely to be high try or goal scorers)
As we sponsored Matt Diskin in 2014, we would have had first refusal on him this time, but as he has retired, we can have our choice of any of the new signings (though some may have been snapped up by the time we confirm), or we can find out who else is available.
I believe that the terms are the same as were offered last year, i.e. we would get a signed shirt from the player (Matt Diskin's went, by majority decision, to Debaser, for use at the school in which he teaches) and contributors would be able to obtain a pass to attend one match in the Coral Stand. We did not take up the latter option last year, but it should be available for 2015.
In the past, we have also looked at the sponsorship of Academy players, but my experience has been that the club wants to get the senior player sponsorships out of the way first, so I think we will have to address that later on, if we are interested.

Could you also please let me know if there is any player or type of player from the 30 that you would like us to try to sponsor. For my part, I would prefer us to sponsor a fringe player who was an Academy product. If we raise more than the money needed, I would prefer to put it toward a second fringe player, or eventual sponsorship of an Academy player.
