I am not saying that this is not correct but the HDM is not exactly renounced for accuracy in its reporting. A three year deal at his age and based on his level of performance over the last two years he must be laughing all the way to the bank if it is indeed true. He admittedly played very well for the first part of this season but of late his performances have been very average.

If confirmed by the club this moves us from a position of:
Halves: Burns, Keating (Hall backup)
Hooker: Hodgson (Carlisle backup)
to
Halves: Keating, Beharrall(sp) (Marsh backup)
Hooker: Carlisle (Robinson backup)

I think that's a great bit of business for Rovers personally. I'm not convinced that what Travis brought to the table was to such a high standard we can't replace him. The big issue for me is the scrum half and the hooker role.

Any value in trying Keating at 9 spelled with Carlisle? We've got him (on paper at least) for another 2 years, and if we shuffle our deck this way, we are left with the money from the Hodgson deal and the Burns deal to replace the halves.
