I'd love Billy B to get the nomination, but as an RL fan a group one would probably appeal to most people. Very strange to see world record points scorer Neil Fox not in there.
The group I would love to see would be Ashton, Boston, Fox and Murphy, part of the greatest touring side ever to leave these shores.

I'm amazed Shaun Edwards isn't in there, ahead of Offiah.

I to would like to see Billyb, but would not be against a group chosen from the players mentioned ,but including Brian Mctigue. If they wanted a really iconic take on Wembly,Murphy could be lay on a stretcher shielding his eyes.

Eric Ashton. As the write up says, first man to win the C Cup as Captain, Coach and Chairman. First Rugby League player to be named in the Honours List. Won the C Cup three times and a series (Ashes) win against Australia. Also a great ambassador the Rugby League. Eric would get my vote!
I can't understand why Jim Sullivan isn't in there.
There are a couple there I can't see how they got to the 'short list'.
But then again, I saw Bobby Moore play lots of times and didn't really rate him.
There were far better players around in his era, and West Ham were no 'great shakes'. Just lucky to have been the captain when England won the WC in 1966.
I would hope 'Billy B' gets it, and why one S Edwards isn't listed....... well ?
Dave Whelan the saviour of the Pies Fully marked up rentbook on display Who do you think you are candidates Saints have never won the 2nd division Title, so there!!
