Suggestion on the facebook page that Clinch advised us with the 3 aussie signings. Anyone know if theres any truth in this?
I know he played with Marshall, but I guess these signings must have been underway long before Marshall joined.

I have been led to the belief that Karl arranged the signings of all these players.
Perhaps that's why Mr Steele recently said there is still some money left for Richard to spend.
After all the board didn't want Karl to go!

Ian Croad did say in the Courier articles on both the Tangata and Place signings that Gavin Clinch had recommended them.

Was Clinch at Salford under KH? Or were there a number of years between them?

I'd have thought Clinch did play under KH, as I think Karl was the coach in the old NL1 there wasn't he?
